By accessing or using MedPlate ("the App"), developed by Digital Caregivers LLC, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

MedPlate is a wellness application that uses AI to provide personalized food guidance, recipe suggestions, and food–medication interaction summaries to help you make informed choices about what you eat while taking prescription or over-the-counter medications.

The App is designed for wellness and personal informational use only. It does not provide medical, pharmacological, or professional healthcare advice, diagnosis, or treatment. AI outputs are not a substitute for a licensed physician, pharmacist, or registered dietitian. Always seek the advice of qualified health providers with any questions regarding your medications, diet, or health conditions. See our Medical Disclaimer for details.

MedPlate uses AI to generate recipes, food suggestions, and food–medication interaction summaries. By using these features, you acknowledge that:

• Results are generated by AI and provided for informational purposes only
• Results may not be comprehensive, accurate, or up-to-date
• Digital Caregivers LLC has no contractual, affiliate, referral, or financial relationship with any food brand, supplement maker, or pharmaceutical company referenced
• We do not receive compensation, commissions, or referral fees for any product, ingredient, or brand appearing in results
• You are solely responsible for verifying any guidance with a licensed professional before acting on it

You must be at least 17 years old to use MedPlate, matching the app's App Store age rating.

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Upload malicious content or viruses
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
• Use the App to provide medical advice to others as a professional
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or access the App through automated means

You retain ownership of content you create within the App (medication lists, food logs, saved recipes, notes, etc.). By using the App, you grant Digital Caregivers LLC a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and display your content solely to operate and improve the Service. We will not share your content with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.

By subscribing to MedPlate Premium, you agree to the following:

• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-renewal: Your subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the listed price.
• Managing & canceling: You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time in your App Store account settings after purchase. Canceling a current subscription is not allowed during the active subscription period.
• Free trial: Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
• Refunds: Refunds are handled by Apple and subject to Apple's refund policy (reportaproblem.apple.com).
• Price changes: We may change subscription prices with notice; continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.

The App, including its design, features, and content (excluding user content), is owned by Digital Caregivers LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements. Your use of the App is at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Digital Caregivers LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, an allergic reaction, or a serious medication interaction, call your local emergency number or poison control immediately. The App is not designed to provide emergency or urgent medical guidance.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violations of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

If you downloaded MedPlate from the Apple App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the App.
